In 2023, a group of fintech and marketplace veterans gathered in Lagos and asked a simple question: why is commerce still so hard for so many people?
Merchants at open-air markets could not accept card payments. Small businesses could not access global suppliers. Skilled plumbers, electricians, and designers had no reliable way to find customers. The tools existed, but they were fragmented, expensive, and designed for a world that most entrepreneurs did not live in.
So we built Trova Group — a holding company with a single mission: make commerce effortless for everyone. Not just the big guys. Everyone.
We started with Rafa, turning any Android phone into a payment terminal. Then we launched Giantsellers, a global marketplace for buyers and sellers. Finally, Trova Services connected service professionals with the customers who need them.
Today, Trova Group operates from Lagos and Dubai, serving businesses and consumers across 12 countries. And we are just getting started.

The Idea
Founded in Lagos by a team of fintech and marketplace veterans who saw a gap in accessible, mobile-first commerce infrastructure across Africa and the Middle East.
Rafa is Born
Built and launched the NFC Soft POS platform after months of payment certification and partnership talks with banks across Nigeria and the UAE.
First 10,000 Merchants
Rafa hits 10,000 active merchants in Nigeria alone. Expansion to Ghana begins. Trova Group raises its first seed round.
Giantsellers Launch
The multivendor international marketplace goes live with 2,000 sellers across 15 countries. B2B and B2C channels open simultaneously.
Dubai Expansion
Trova Group opens its Dubai office in Business Bay. Giantsellers reaches 25,000 sellers. Rafa adds multi-currency and QR code support.
Trova Services Launch
The on-demand service marketplace launches in Lagos and Dubai with 1,500 verified service providers across home repairs, tech, legal, and health categories.
40,000+ Businesses
The combined Trova ecosystem now serves over 40,000 businesses and processes millions of transactions monthly across three platforms.
